One logo, modified for each of our groups.\u00a0<\/strong>We\u2019re looking to get similar logos mocked up for WordCamp Toronto, WordCamp Developers Toronto, the Toronto WordPress Group, and the Toronto WordPress Developers Group. We want some consistency across these different groups &#8211; a sense of unity &#8211; without being too \u201ccorporate\u201d.<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re a community organization, run by volunteers, and sustained by passionate people from around the area. The logos should reflect that!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Note that all logo entries will be <a href=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/License\">licensed under GPL<\/a>. We\u2019re a WordPress group, after all. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\">Eligibility<\/strong><br \/>\nThis contest is open to everyone in Ontario.<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Keep the following in mind when designing your entry:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Try to include the WordPress \u2018W\u2019 emblem.<\/li>\n<li>Try to include imagery\/iconography that is distinctly Toronto.<\/li>\n<li>Text used in the logo should be interchangeable for each group\u2019s name. (<a href=\"http:\/\/communications.uwo.ca\/brandnew\/\">Look at UWO for inspiration.<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019ll use the logo on group websites, email newsletters, printed material, and swag.<\/li>\n<li>The logo should be able to scale without negatively affecting readability. Clean and clutter free is best. \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li>We need something that can work in colour and monochrome. Design accordingly!<\/li>\n<li>All components of the logo (imagery, fonts) should be GPL compliant.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\">How to Enter<br \/>\n<\/strong>Submit your entries to <a href=\"mailto:toronto@wordcamp.org\">toronto@wordcamp.org<\/a> with the subject \u201cToronto Logo Contest\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Please include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Colour and monochrome examples of the logo(s).<\/li>\n<li>SVG file of the logos.<\/li>\n<li>Font file(s) used. (Optional, but very useful.)<\/li>\n<li>A brief explanation of your design and the thought process behind it. (300 words max, please!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\">The Prize<br \/>\n<\/strong>You\u2019ll get credit on the group websites + printed schedules, registration fee waived for you + 1 friend, something cool to add to your portfolio, and that warm, fuzzy feeling of contributing to the Toronto WordPress community. We plan on using this logo for the foreseeable future, so you\u2019ll see your work pop up year after year!<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Runner-up entries will get an honourable mention on the WordCamp Toronto website.<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How will submissions be judged?<\/strong><br \/>\nEveryone will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite submission on the WordCamp Toronto website, but the organization team will reserve the right to make a final decision on the winning entry (just in case folks try to troll the system, or any other shenanigans take place).<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We ask that you vote once, and only once, for your top choice. We want to keep this simple. \ud83d\ude42<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadlines<\/strong><br \/>\nThe logo contest is open from June 1st &#8211; July 1st 2012.<br \/>\nVoting will be open from July 2nd &#8211; July 15th 2012.<br \/>\nA winner will be announced in the following week of July 15th.<strong id=\"internal-source-marker_0.019294272642582655\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Questions?
