This presentation is about how to evaluate a premium\u00a0WordPress\u00a0theme and what to look for when shopping for a theme. This presentation focuses on tradition themes and will not go into detail on frameworks such as Headway, Thesis, etc. The presentation assumes participants are fairly new to\u00a0WordPress.<\/p>\n<h3>What do you want folks to learn from your presentation?<\/h3>\n<p>Don&#8217;t fall for the flashy stock photos! \u00a0Look at the bones of the theme and the support available if something goes wrong or needs adapted.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>What attracted you to WordPress in the first place?<\/h3>\n<p>Flexibility. Great community. \u00a0New plugins daily. \u00a0Awesome.<\/p>\n<h3>What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?<\/h3>\n<p>Learning different approaches to\u00a0WordPress. \u00a0What is new and what is coming in the months and years ahead.<\/p>\n<h3>Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Toronto?<\/h3>\n<p>I love how much time people spend on themes, plugins etc. and ask for very little in return. \u00a0Hoping I can give a little back to the community.<\/p>\n<h3>What is your favourite theme or plugin, and why?<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;m a fan of themes by <a title=\"Kriesi.at\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kriesi.at\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kriesi.at<\/a>.
