Presentation: How WordPress let me quit the rat race.

We all dream of winning the lotto, but what if we don’t need to leave it to chance? Let’s talk about a frank truth. WordPress is awesome. Let’s talk about how I left corporate Canada behind, and how WordPress let me live the life I wanted.

What do you want people to learn from your presentation?

I want people to learn that there is a way to quit the stress of everyday life, and working with WordPress is the first step.

What attracted you to WordPress in the first place?

I was lazy, and looking for a quick way to do a complicated task.

My first WordPress project was a low budget job for a client, he wanted to be able to edit his homepage, WordPress let me do that without writing a custom solution.

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?

Meeting new people.

Why did you decide to speak?

WordPress has given me a lot, I don’t feel right unless I give a little back.

What is your favourite plugin or theme, and why?

At the moment, I’m in love with Pippin’s Easy Digital Downloads plugin. It’s extremely easy to use, with some wonderful add-ons that have made my job a whole lot easier.
