I&#8217;ve been designing and developing web sites since the late 1990\u2032s. I also co-teach LearnWP WordPress Workshops in Toronto with Dawn Comber.<\/p>\n<h2>Workshop Session<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/2014.toronto.wordcamp.org\/session\/website-assessment-clinic\/\" title=\"Session info\">Website Assessment clinic<\/a> in the <a href=\"\/track\/content-and-business\" title=\"Content and Business track listing\">Content and Business<\/a> track<\/p>\n<h2>Why did you decide to present?<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019ve spoken at WordCamp Toronto for several years and it has always been a great experience. It&#8217;s one way I like to pay it forward, recognizing how much WordPress has given to me.<\/p>\n<h2>What attracted you to WordPress in the first place?<\/h2>\n<p>I came to WordPress in 2008 looking for a user-friendly, secure content management solution for my clients. I was sold on WordPress when I discovered that with plugins you could so easily add new functionality to your site and with automatic updates you would always have the latest and greatest WordPress has to offer.<\/p>\n<h2>What is your favourite plugin or theme, and why?<\/h2>\n<p>Today&#8217;s favourite plugin will be the one that solves a need for my current project. If I have to pick just one, it would be WordPress SEO by Yoast.<\/p>\n<h2>What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?<\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to seeing friends from the WordPress Toronto community.
