He\u2019s committed to writing quality code that is both fast and scalable, and has a knack for translating ideas and goals into functional sites.<\/p>\n

Aaron has worked with clients ranging from small local businesses to Google, Yahoo, Disney, and Harvard. He\u2019s been called both a coffee snob and a beer snob, but considers both to be compliments.<\/p>\n

When not buried in code, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, attending or hosting beer tastings, and reading sci-fi\/fantasy books.<\/p>\n

“Security is kind of like your mortgage or rent. Everyone knows it’s important to stay on top of, but they also dread it. I want to shine a light on some of the darker, more confusing areas of security and show people how to navigate these areas.”<\/p>\n

What unique perspective are you bringing to this talk?<\/h3>\n

“I’m on the WordPress core security team, am a lead developer for the iThemes Security plugin<\/a>, and have dealt with security issues as a plugin and theme author as well as a developer for enterprise level sites.”<\/p>\n

What’s one really cool thing people will discover during your session?<\/h3>\n

“Dealing with a security vulnerability really isn’t as scary as it sounds, and it doesn’t have to be bad for you or your users.”<\/p>\n

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?<\/h3>\n
