He is currently the President of <a href=\"http:\/\/thegenius.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">GeniusMedia.ca<\/a>, the Founder of <a href=\"http:\/\/AgentAccelerate.ca\" target=\"_blank\">AgentAccelerate.ca<\/a>, as well as a Freelancer through <a href=\"http:\/\/JordanQ.ca\" target=\"_blank\">JordanQ.ca<\/a>. Jordan is also a huge Web Accessibility advocate and very active in various a11y Communities. He has presented and attended dozens of Meetups, Camps, and Conferences across Canada and the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Presentation:\u00a0WordPress Accessibility: Spreading the word!<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;I really want to reach out to those that understand accessibility, and have a desire to contribute, but have difficulty moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>I want people to realize that supporting web accessibility is not just for developers that code accessible or write accessible patches, but that it can involve anyone and everyone.&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>What unique perspective are you bringing to this talk?<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;As a person born with a physical disability, I bring a real world perspective as to what accessibility is really about.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>What&#8217;s one really cool thing people will discover during your session?<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;People (of any skill set) will be exposed to the various avenues and opportunities for supporting web accessibility. My audience will have a better understanding of how accessibility can positively impact those that need it and why everyone should get involved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Do you have a good WordPress related story, anecdote or memory?<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Last year, I had the pleasure of being on the organizing team, which was truly an amazing experience. We did a great job and had a ton of fun at the same time, not to mention the comradery that came with it. Most of the organizing meetings ended up at a bar or pub, but I guess all the good meetings do. I supposed beer and brotherhood built WordCamp 2014 (HAHA), which is something I&#8217;ll never forget!&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;First and foremost, I love the networking, either with old or new faces, it&#8217;s really the people that make WordCamp&#8217;s special.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, I enjoy the public speaking, it feels really great having the opportunity to share my knowledge and life experiences with those that share the same passions as I do.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jordan Quintal is a seasoned WordPress Developer, Contributor and Community Member with over 10 years of Web Development experience.
