Session Description<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Your phone rings. A client informs you that a WordPress site YOU developed and maintain for them has been hacked. Where do you begin? What do you do? How will you prevent it from happening again?<\/p>\n

WordPress may be secure, but the people who use it aren’t. In the past year I can think of 4 specific instances where I’ve had to un-hack a website. This is intended towards developers who have had or could ever have a site they need to clean up.The goal is to help them keep a cool head when something comes up.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Find the cause of a hack
\n\u2022 Establish a plan to remove the hack
\n\u2022 Remove hacks from a site or server
\n\u2022 Increase security on their website to prevent future hacks<\/p>\n

All attendees are welcome to come to this session but the ones that will likely benefit the most\u00a0are beginner, intermediate & advanced developers..<\/p>\n

Prerequisites<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

The\u00a0technical knowledge required to understand\u00a0this session is to have a basic understanding of how WordPress works.<\/p>\n
