KidsCamp starts at 9:00 am. Registration opens at 8:30 am.
WordCamp Toronto (#WCTO) parents can now usher in the next generation of WordPress builders at our first annual KidsCamp! Parents attending #WCTO can bring their junior builders along and enjoy a day of parent-child learning under the tutelage of some of our WordPress Master Builders!
These special kid-friendly lessons introduce your child to the wonderful world of WordPress and help them learn or improve upon WordPress development, design, and use skills! After the day is complete, your child leaves with his/her very own WordPress.com site up and running!
Interested WordPress parents or guardians* need to have at least a ticket for Saturday attendance purchased before signing up their junior builders. Parents are responsible for staying with their child during KidsCamp, but may switch guardians during the course of the day if you are both attending.
Each child must arrive with a laptop to work on.
We are accepting builders from age 7 to 14 to participate in these special lessons and spots are limited to only 20 students (not including their parental sponsors).
Ready to start your junior builder out on their own WordPress project? KidsCamp tickets are available now. Be sure to get at least one adult ticket with the kids tickets.
* A guardian is a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. who is at least 18 years of age. The guardian MUST remain with the child in KidsCamp at all times.
And for teen WordPressers…
Do you have an older builder ready to learn some advanced topics? Builders age 15 to 17 are welcome to join us in the KidsCamp room to work on their project with assistance available from our experts or join the regular WordCamp sessions with a full ticket.
