{"id":1586,"date":"2017-07-28T15:18:11","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T19:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2017.toronto.wordcamp.org\/?post_type=wcb_speaker&#038;p=1586"},"modified":"2017-08-29T16:59:02","modified_gmt":"2017-08-29T20:59:02","slug":"jason-eke","status":"publish","type":"wcb_speaker","link":"https:\/\/toronto.wordcamp.org\/2017\/speaker\/jason-eke\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Eke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nearly ten years ago I started using WordPress as a CMS for my canoe building business.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I also started using video and published on Youtube, then shared the videos through my site and socially.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a couple years I became one of the leading publishers in the canoe culture and was getting around 10,000 views per month.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I decided to put more effort into film and produced a short film &#8220;Canoe: Icon of the North&#8221; and interviewed some of Canada&#8217;s leaders in the canoe world (builders, instructors, Olympic Athletes, etc).<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My views continued to increase and I now receive between 20-30,000 views per month.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Over the years my skills and knowledge of both WordPress and video have developed greatly.
