What’s a WordCamp?<\/h2>\n
WordCamps are local, community-run events dedicated to the WordPress open source software<\/a>. (Fun fact: WordPress now powers over 30% of websites<\/a> worldwide!)<\/p>\n These events are a great opportunity to learn more about WordPress and meet other WordPress users. Attendees range from absolute beginners to longtime experts.<\/p>\n Hundreds of WordCamps take place each year around the world<\/a>, all organized and staffed by a team of passionate volunteers.<\/p>\n Since 2011, WordCamp Toronto has been organized by members of our local WordPress meetup group<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you’d like to get involved with #WCYYZ this year, check out our Volunteers page.<\/a>\u00a0We’re looking for people to help before, during, and after the event.<\/p>\n WordCamp sessions are also led by volunteers. Our speakers are all WordPress users who want to share their knowledge and experience.
