If you are unable to attend, please remember to modify your reservation to give others the chance to register for this informative day-long event bringing dozens of experts together to talk about the latest WordPress advances and online best practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><b>Where to Go and When<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WordCamp YYZ is at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.toronto.wordcamp.org\/location\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">North York Civic Centre<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">5100 Yonge St.) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">whic<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">h is set back from Yonge St. on the west side and fronted by Mel Lastman\u2019s Square, north of Yonge and Sheppard. There is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/311\/knowledgebase\/kb\/docs\/articles\/311-toronto\/information-and-business-development\/north-york-civic-centre-floor-plan-location-accessibility-directions-hours.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">paid parking<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> on the west side of the building on Beecroft St.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you are taking transit, get off at <\/span><b>North York subway station<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and take the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1c1W9Kw_xn8e_GdFlblHwPSDP8zxLmc2_\/view?usp=drivesdk\">exit marked Mel Lastman\u2019s Square<\/a>. The Civic Centre is between the centre for performing arts on the south, a pool on the west and a library on the north. WordCamp is in the lower level. For driving directions click <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/311\/knowledgebase\/kb\/docs\/articles\/311-toronto\/information-and-business-development\/north-york-civic-centre-floor-plan-location-accessibility-directions-hours.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Volunteers arrive at 8 AM and registration begins at 9 AM in the Council Chamber Foyer at the lower level of the Civic Centre.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> There are many entrances so we will have volunteers in purple t-shirts stationed at the doors to help you navigate this large complex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Opening remarks will be at 10 AM <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in Council Chambers with the <\/span><b>first session starting at 10:30<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. You can check out our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.toronto.wordcamp.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for the full <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.toronto.wordcamp.org\/schedule\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">session schedule<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>WiFi Access<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There is free WiFi at the North York Civic Centre but it is spotty in the basement where our sessions are located. To join, you\u2019ll connect to the \u201cCity of Toronto\u201d network and accept their terms (no password is required). <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Food and Beverage<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will have coffee, tea, drinks, snacks and sandwiches at the event however there may not be sufficient quantities to feed everyone enough to consider it a lunch meal. There are many excellent restaurants on this block so if necessary, you can find many dining options just out the doors of our venue. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Our Sponsors are the Best!<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We could not have put this event on without the amazing support of our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.toronto.wordcamp.org\/sponsors\/current-sponsors\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sponsors<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
