Presentation: Choosing a WordPress Theme for Your Business
I want people to learn how to choose a theme that suits the needs of their business. Themes these days come with a lot of new options and features and I’d like people to know about whats new and whats out there.
What attracted you to WordPress in the first place?
I was attracted to WordPress mainly for the community. I love working with people that are like-minded and passionate about something. I also love the simplicity. WordPress makes it fun and easy to build websites.
What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?
To connect with like-minded individuals who aspire to build new web businesses and products that benefit people who use WordPress.
Why did you decide to speak?
I started speaking at events last year and I absolutely loved the response I got from the audience. I got a lot of messages from them saying I changed their lives and business. It feels good to be able to motivate and inspire people to go after their goals.
What is your favourite plugin or theme, and why?
I love the themes from StudioPress. They are very easy to use and have lots of support. My clients find it very very easy to update and build their website. Recently I’ve been developing themes from Theme Forest. They have too many great themes to list. I’m always on the hunt for new themes and plugins.
