“I am a Happiness Engineer, working for Automattic, Inc. I am on the live chat team and specialize in mobile support. I also am a moderator in the Blogging University classes, and that’s a passion for me. I LOVE seeing how those in the WordPress community work together to make sites stronger and get their voices heard.”
Presentation: “Community Consultation Creates Compelling Content”
“The WordPress community is amazing. It’s filled with intelligent, creative people who go out of their way to help others. There are so many different ways the community works together, that I felt it was important to highlight them so people know where to turn to become a part of it all.”
What unique perspective are you bringing to this talk?
“As a Happiness Engineer, I have the opportunity to see how the community works from a unique vantage. I get to participate in different facets of community integration–from customer support to arranging local meetups to moderating in Blogging University classes. I see first-hand the amazing things community members do to help each other provide better content for the world to see.”
What’s one really cool thing people will discover during your session?
“In my session, people will find that there are numerous ways to tap into the WordPress community–there’s something for everyone 🙂 Whether you are a beginner or expert, you can help others and make your own site stronger and more visible when you are inspired by and contribute to this vibrant community. Everyone benefits. Everyone fits.”
What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?
“I am really looking forward to meeting more members of the WordPress community and learning. There’s always so much to learn, and I love it!”
