Presentation: Building a Better Security Posture

“I’ve worked at Sucuri for nearly two years and have helped clean thousands of websites. Although we work with all platforms WordPress is the most common one due to its popularity. I see website owners making a lot of the same mistakes and many of these issues can be prevented with some simple solutions and an improved security posture/attitude.”

What unique perspective are you bringing to this talk?

“I’m one of the guys that cleans your site when it becomes infected 😉 I’d like to help bring attention to the importance of security and encourage website owners to consider it a priority from day one.”

What’s one really cool thing people will discover during your session?

“As attacks on everyday WordPress sites continue to evolve website owners need to take steps to ensure the security of their data. I’ll explore common issues that I see and simple/effective solutions that site owners can employ to ensure that they are not low-hanging fruit for attackers and that their website’s reputation is protected.”
